About Us

With over 23 years experience in teaching golf, Petronis has helped more people learn & enjoy golf than any other Golf Professional in and surrounding the South Jersey region by far. He has turned out more several Golf Professionals, Teaching Professionals, & College Players. Even though he is known for his Junior Golf work, he actually works with more adults than kids. It's just that he teaches more kids than anyone. To help you understand the impact that Petronis has had on NJ Golfers, in 2008, he was named as Top 5 Golf Instructors in NJ by GolfStyles' Magazine! Word of mouth has been Petronis' best form of advertising; however, he has the success stories and awards from his colleagues & peers to prove his expertise. PGA Golf Professional John Petronis entered the golf business on January 1st, 1993 in Naples, FL. It was at Quail West CC where he started his PGA Apprenticeship and gave his first golf lesson. From 1993 through 1995, he also trained at the David Leadbetter Academy to expand his knowledge of the golf swing. He then continued his apprenticeship at Galloway National under the mentorship of the PGA's Past President Dick Smith. After Galloway, Petronis moved onto Sand Barren's under the mentorship of Colorodo's PGA Section Past Vice President Alden Richards.

His next management position was the Pines at Clermont where, in 2000, Petronis had a lot of demand for his rising juniors to showcase their talents. He founded the Cape May County Jr. Golf Foundation, non-profit 501c3 and it's Cape Jr. Golf Tour to create a stage for them to showcase their talents. His expertise & reputation landed him the PGA Director of Golf position at Cape May National GC where he mentored under legendary golfer Skee Riegel.

After a successful career in managing golf courses combined with training the best golfers in the Southern NJ Region, it was now time for Petronis to venture out on his own and put his vision & experience to a higher use. So, he then founded the JGA Golf Academy & Fitting Center in 2005 shortly after creating the Junior Golfers' Association of America, non-profit 501c3 & the JGA Tour.

With the demand of helping kids all over the region with their college recruitment, he then founded the JGA College Recruitment Services. He has helped kids of Intermediate & Advanced skill levels achieve a scholarship and believes that there is a right fit for everyone who wants to play college golf.

Best & Brightest Young Leaders in the South Jersey Region

"The awards are great; however, it's the pride of knowing that you have done a great job for your family, community, & golf as a whole. This combined with the support that I receive from family & friends is what really keeps me going."
